Weeks after Lagos State University made the promise to release results and certificates to students (click to read here), the students of the university are yet to see the fulfillment of that promise.
According to a former student of the
university (Anthony Campus), who graduated in 2009, attempts made by the
ex-students to call the attention of the management of LASU to their
plight have been futile. Evidence of this is in the fact that after
years of graduation and meeting all necessary requirements for the award
of certificates, many still have no proof of graduation.
The plight of the past part-time
students who spent at least six years in the institution (Anthony
Campus) is no less worrisome, as some of their results have not even
been approved by the school’s Senate, long after graduation.
Now, at their tether’s end, the former students of the university call on the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to encourage the management of the school to fulfill their promise to clear the backlog of results in its possession.
